Aviators Soar Past Cannons in 7-4 Victory in Game 1
Cartersville, GA (June 28th, 2025) - The Alpharetta Aviators took control in the first and never looked back, defeating the Cannons in game one of their doubleheader. Powered by timely hitting and a strong bullpen performance, the Aviators were able to hold off the Cannons.
Fast Start
The Aviators came out hot, scoring three runs in the top of the first inning. Tristan Strickland opened the scoring with a double to left field, followed by a two-run single to left-center from Brady Holbrook. The Cannons answered in the bottom half, capitalizing on a fielding error to make it 3–1 after one.
Homerun Filled 4th
The bats stayed quiet until the fourth, when Strickland struck again—this time with a solo homer to right-center, extending the Aviators' lead. Mason Moore responded for the Cannons in the bottom of the inning with a two-run blast, narrowing the gap to 4–3.
Aviators Stop the Threat
In the bottom of the fifth, the Cannons loaded the bases with no outs, threatening to take the lead. The Aviators turned to reliever Riley Stanford, who worked out of the jam with the help of center fielder Brady Holbrook, whose clutch catch and throw home preserved the Aviators' slim lead.

On the Mound
The Aviators' bullpen, led by Anthony Biondo, held strong. Biondo went 4.0 innings, allowing 3 runs and striking out 3. Riley Stanford was dominant in relief, tossing 2.0 innings of one-hit ball with 4 strikeouts. For the Cannons, Jackson Miller delivered 2.0 scoreless innings with one strikeout in relief.
